- AIChE Fridge:
Once again the food was stolen from the shelf. The business managers are taking preventative measures. They are trying to only put out enough food for one day and then putting away any extra at night. This way if we are robbed there will only be a few items that are stolen. A new idea was proposed for storage of the snack food. We are going to move a cabinet down to the snack food area and at night the cabinet can be locked up and hopefully kept safe. The business managers will also be dividing up there tasks more specifically, so that one person is not doing all of the work.
The idea of using a room off of the computer room was vetoed, so we are trying other alternatives.

You will also need to write a check for registration. It must be in the amount of $25 made out to UW AIChE.
We also need at least one extra driver for the trip up to Seattle and back. We have 3, but we would like to have a spare just in case.
It was voted upon that students do not need to be members of AIChE to attend Regionals. Since it is so near the end of the year, we didn’t think it was necessary.

This is an improvement from last term. The business managers have been watching the fridge more closely, so that money isn't left in the fridge and that at night there is only a minimal amount of food left out. Skip is still looking into using a part of the storage room downstairs. The original plan was vetoed by the department's administration, but Skip is working on getting the problem resolved, so all parties will be satisfied.
We are going to start recycling the pop cans that people are throwing away from the fridge and other places. The money from the cans can then go to a charity of our choice Scott Pittman will be heading this up. We are going to put trash cans outside of the computer room, Gleeson 200, and a couple in the lounge that will be labeled for cans only. Skip will be purchasing two trash cans for this and Scott will be creating signs for the trash cans.
- Regional Conference:

A summary of the Revenue, Profit, Theft were reviewed. A significant amount of the food/money has been lost to theft. Possible ways of changing this is to move the location of the fridge to a more central location, so that more people could watch the fridge, or have a box that would lock up all of the money.
FYI for the Business Manager of the Fridge, Kevin Laxton is the contact for the BioE fridge committee (laxtonk@onid.orst.edu).
