The OSU ASCE Student Chapter and ASCE Steel Bridge team, led by captain Ben Sundberg, travelled to the University of Alaska – Anchorage for the 2011 Pacific Northwest Conference. This year's team worked very hard and produced an excellent, very intricate design. The team's effort was outstanding. They finished 6th overall in a very competitive contest. Also, the team took 1st in the Engineering Jeopardy competition, 1st  in the Orienteering competition, 2nd in bridge stiffness, 2nd in bridge efficiency, 2nd in bridge display, and before penalties, had the lightest bridge at the  conference.
