With the tremendous success of the 2006 team, placing 1st at both Baja West and Midwest, the 2007 team had a lot to live up to but was ready for the challenge. The team took two cars to Baja South Dakota and placed 2nd and 5th overall. The team took one car to the Baja SAE RIT competition, won both design and maneuverability, and were running 2nd in the endurance race when an accident caused the car to drop out.
This year, there are 10 senior project students and 15 non-senior members assisting the team and gaining valuable experience to use in future years. The design of the 2008 car is underway, and we are looking forward to the future challenges of manufacturing, testing and tuning.
