- Welcome #2:welcome industry members and thanks them for participating. The welcomes usually take about 30-60 seconds.
I think that's about it. All ACM officers are eligible to attend even if they're not seniors. Let me know if you have any more questions or if I can be of any help.

- Once at the event, we'll need volunteers from both IEEE and ACM to help with set-up and tear down, plus we'll need volunteers to help with registration.

Arcade Machine
Is someone interested in taking this on? The Interactive Entertainment Club sounded interested when I talked with them.
Donald Heer sent me this email last week. I think it is a great idea:
Well here is what I have been thinking about. I happen to have an
arcade cabinet that while I like to use it I could willing part with.
I have already changed it over to a PC based system, so I thought of a
way ACM might be able to use it. Here is the idea.
Run a year long competition to see who can make the best 'arcade
game.' Whoever wins get the game loaded onto the arcade machine. Put
the arcade machine in the Kelly building by the vending machines.
Charge quarters per play (it is an arcade after all) and collect the
funds for ACM. Change the game after the next years competition. That
is the simple version. I've already got preliminary permission to put
the game in.
ICPC
Yaroslav Bulatov is putting together the resources to form teams for the ICPC.
We need to work with him on advertising and setting up an introduction meeting.

Workshops
What time is going to work best?
I have sent out email to the LUG, ACM, and OSL mailing list and have a
few dates already set. But we need more speakers. I plan on doing
one, and each of the ACM staff should consider doing at least one.
- Oct. 13th -- Introduction to PHP
- Oct. 21st -- Writting Secure code, good habits and bad habits.
- Nov. 3rd -- accessible HTML/CSS design for the markup-challenged
- Nov. 10th -- VIM beginner's workshop for EMACS users
- Nov. 17th -- CVS and Subversion for everyone
