142nd Fighter Wing

US National Guard F-15 Wing Tour

The Air National Guard 142nd fighter wing, "Redhawks", provides unequaled, mission ready units to sustain combat aerospace superiority and peacetime taskings any time, and any place. This fighter wing flies F-15's and is located in Portland, OR. They have invited us for a tour of their jets and facilities on Wednesday, February 19th.

Near Space Corporation Tour

Near Spcae Corporation, Tillamook, OR. February 6th 12:00 PM
Near Space Corporation's mission is to enable high altitude access by supplying customers with near space platforms and services. NSC leverages its unique experience, equipment, and facilities to offer end-to-end solutions, including engineering, manufacturing, and flight operations. NSC is located in Tillamook, OR and has invited us for a tour on Friday, February 6th at 12pm.

Corvallis Walking Tour

Corvallis, OR. February TBD
Astrobiologist Dr. Rick Colwell has offered to give us a walking star tour. On this tour we will see unique features in the night sky and learn about stars, planets and space. This walking tour will be just off campus in Corvallis and is tentatively planned for February, TBD.

Boeing Factory Tour

Museum of Flight

The Boeing Company, Everett WA. November 21st 9:00AM
Boeing has officially scheduled our tour for Friday, November 21st at 9:00 am. The Vanderputtens have again graciously offered for us to stay at their house on Thursday night! Limit 25 people.
 
Because the tour is in the morning, we will be going to the Museum of Flight after the Boeing tour. This is a really awesome museum and the entry fee has been partially subsidized by the club so it will cost you only $10.

The Oregon NASA Space Grant Consortium presents the 2014 Student Symposium, Friday, November 14, 2014. The Symposium will be held from 9-6pm at the LaSells Stewart Center/OSU Conference Center, on the Oregon State University campus in Corvallis, Oregon.
 
Oregon NASA Space Grant students who were awarded fellowships, internships, undergraduate research scholarships, and team research awards in 2014 will present their research projects and share their experiences at the OSGC Student Symposium.

OSU AIAA is pleased to welcome James Barrowman to Corvallis!

Join us Friday Nov. 7th in Owen 102 at 2pm for a intimate talk with one of the nation's premier rocket scientists.

James Barrowman served as a project and program manager at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center for 22 years where he managed Attached Shuttle and Space Station Payloads, the Explorer Program, and the Hubble Space Telescope Program. He was awarded NASA's Outstanding Leadership Medal and twice awarded NASA's Exceptional Service Medal, as well as the GSFC Award of Merit.

This is a rare treat for us as Mr. Barrowman will be discussing his career as program and project manager of pioneering and innovative aerospace teams. Anyone is welcome to this free event so please join us for this truly unique experience.
