ESRA Student Rocketry Competition
Experimental Sounding Rocketry Association
For 2014-2015 OSU AIAA has chosen to participate in the ESRA Student Rocketry competition. In this competition, students are tasked to build a rocket that can carry a 10 lb payload to 25,000 ft AGL for the Advanced category. Students are awarded more points in the competition for the amount of parts designed and manufactured by the students themselves such as avionics, propulsion, structures, recovery, and payloads. Each team must also prepare a display and presentation about their rocket, which will be given at the competition amongst other teams. The competition consists of 25 different teams from around the world and is held annually near Green River, Utah.
