Specs

Our Human Powered Vehicle is based on a low-profile recumbent design.   Using this geometry allows us to gain higher speeds by reducing air resistance.

Our design will feature:

High efficiency drive train.

• Welded aluminum frame.

• Low center of gravity.

• High and Low speed stability.

• Partially enclosed, race specific aerodynamic fairing.

• Human performance optimized rider geometry.

Project Timeline:

• December: Design work completed, continuing sponsor recruitment. Training program and recruitment begin, full and partial scale prototype production begins.
• January: Materials are obtained and construction begins. Move into rigorous training phase.
• February: Construction 100% complete by month's end.
• March: Start testing and tuning. Design report due to ASME office by end of month.
• April: Additional training and testing as needed.
• ASME Western Regional Championships date tbd

A great thing about our team is the fresh perspective our members bring to the drawing board. We strive to take our classroom knowlage to creating an optimized vehicle.
