OSU LSAMP has two official community college partners, Chemeketa Community College and Linn-Benton Community College, however we work to build partnerships with all community colleges in the state of Oregon and beyond.
Through our partnership with Chemeketa and Linn-Benton Community Colleges, we seek to integrate prospective transfer students into the academic life of their chosen discipline in a way that will foster growth and success. Community college students are provided with financial, academic, social and professional support in a coordinated effort to help them achieve their academic and professional goals. Community college students can connect with LSAMP staff and resources early on in their academic career. We strive to offer transfer advising and support to students who plan to pursue a STEM degree at OSU, with each campus having it's own unique programming in place for prospective LSAMP students. Events include advising and office hours, workshops on academic success and undergraduate research, opportunities to connect with faculty from OSU, and annual attendance of the PNW-LSAMP Conference. In addition, students who choose to become LSAMP Scholars are awarded a $1000 scholarship for their participation in the program.
LSAMP Academy is an orientation program for incoming eligible transfer students who will transition to OSU in the fall. Academy is a program that allows students to connect with other students, faculty and staff in their college as well as learn about research opportunities and other resources on campus. This program is open enrollment throughout the summer. For more information, please click here.
LSAMP Re-connect is a community building program for second-year and transfer students at OSU that are looking to better connect to OSU, their STEM college, and their peers that runs throughout the academic year. For more information, please click here.
