Engineer’s week is a national week in which schools and professionals from around the country celebrate the positive contributions of Engineers in improving society. In addition, this week is meant to promote attributes and various facets of engineering which include but are not limited to math, science and technical skills.
Here at OSU we have a week full of different events from February 20th through the 24th.
Monday, Feb. 20th from 6 - 8pm in LINC 228
Come mingle with fellow COE students and win prizes!
Tuesday Feb. 21st from 12 - 2pm in JOHN 219
Come meet with companies interested in hiring Oregon State students!
Tuesday Feb. 21st from 5 - 7pm at the Community Plaza
An event for students to get a free t-shirt for E-Week and Tie Dye it. Meet other engineering students at the same time!
Wednesday Feb. 22nd from 11 - 1pm at the Community Plaza
An event focused on letting engineering students relax and destress.
Therapy dogs will be in a common engineering space to be pet and enjoyed.
Wednesday Feb. 22nd from 5:30 - 7:30pm in KEAR 112
Join us as we listen to guest speakers talk about diversity in engineering in addition to learning about all of OSU's affinity groups around campus!
Thursday Feb. 23rd from 12 - 2pm in JOHN 219
Meet with various industry representatives and make connections!
Thursday Feb. 23rd from 6 - 8pm in OWEN 102
Watch clubs compete in a Pecha Kucha style presentation contest, telling the story of their event. Pecha Kucha style is 20 slides, 20 seconds per slide for a total of 400 seconds, and the slides must consist of only pictures!
Friday Feb. 24th from 7 - 9:30pm at the SEC Plaza
Rock out to local bands with your fellow engineers!
