Oregon State University EERI Student Chapter

The OSU Student Chapter of the Earthquake Engineering Research Institute (www.eeri.org) is open to undergraduate and graduate students in all disciplines interested in earthquakes (structural, geotechnical and ocean engineering, geosciences, sociology, economics, etc.). OSU's chapter has sponsored professional speaker meetings, invited distinguished guests to campus including Les Robertson (designer of the World Trade Center), engaged in outreach activities to elementary and high schools, and co-sponsored (with ASCE) the seismic competition team and the Order of the Engineer ceremony on campus to encourage professionalism and ethics among graduates.
