HKN Awards Graduate Teaching Assistants of the Year

Justin Goins and Kyle Gray named Robert Short Graduate Teaching Assistants of the Year by Eta Kappa Nu

Robert Short Teaching Assistant of the Year Award

The purpose of the Robert Short Teaching Assistant of the Year Award is to promote excellence among the teaching assistants in electrical and computer engineering. Eta Kappa Nu administers a poll for students to vote for the TA that they feel is the most deserving to win. This year over 150 votes came in from students. Thanks to the generosity of the Short family, we were able to award two deserving winners this year. The award was presented at the June 2015 graduation ceremony.

Kyle Gray is a masters student in the analog/mixed-signal group. He previously earned his bachelors in electrical engineering from Montana State University. This year he was a TA for ECE 322 (Electronic Circuits I).

Justin Goins is a doctoral student also in the analog/mixed-signal group. He previously earned his bachelors in electrical engineering from the Oregon State Honors Colloge. This year he was a TA for ECE 391 (Transmission Lines). You can learn more about Justin here: http://eecs.oregonstate.edu/people/meet-our-students/justin-goins.
