This school year, we are sending a team to the annual Seismic Design Competition in Seattle, WA. This exciting event brings engineering students together from all over the world with one goal in mind: designing for disaster.

This competition gives undergraduate students the opportunity to experience leading the design process for a structure in a high seismicity region. This is an essential skill for anyone who wants to be engineer involved in structure design on the West Coast. Beyond refining your abilities as an engineer, the competition is a chance to travel, build your professional network, and engage with like-minded individuals from across the country.
