Overview
The OSU ANS Winter Conference is an annual event held in February where OSU students may present on topics of interest in nuclear science, engineering, and policy. This page will address details, deadlines for presenters, and how this conference relates to the national ANS Student Conference.
When & Where
The 2025 Winter Conference will be held on February 15 in Memorial Union Rooms 206, 207, and 208. It will begin at 10:00 AM and is scheduled to end at 5:00 PM, but the end time may change depending on how quickly presentations run.
Presenting
Presentations can be given in regular presentation or poster format. Presentations will run 15 minutes, with an additional 5 minutes for audience questions. Posters will be shown during a poster session
Posters should be printed at the library media hub a week before the conference since it can take a couple days for them to be printed. This can be done for free if you specify that it is for a club activity. More information can be found here: https://undergradresearch.oregonstate.edu/how-print-your-poster
Presenting students must dress professionally. The recommendation is business casual (an example of this is jeans and a polo).
