Welcome to Oregon State University's Concrete Canoe Team!

2023-2024 Concrete Canoe Team at the Pacific Northwest Student Symposium hosted at the University of British Columbia

GENERAL MEETINGS ARE TUESDAYS AT 5 PM IN OWEN 102.

Every year, OSU ASCE competes in the ASCE Pacific Northwest Student Symposium concrete canoe competition. This competition is designed to provide students the opportunity to work with concrete mix designs, build formwork, race canoes and learn fundamental skills in leadership and project management. The OSU Concrete Canoe team works hard throughout the school year to prepare the canoe for the spring competition, hosted at rotating college campuses across the Pacific Northwest region.

All undergraduate and graduate students in CCE or from any major are encouraged to join. Only undergraduates are permitted to actually be on the competitive team, but graduate students are very welcome to serve as mentors.

JOIN THE OSU ASCE STUDENT CHAPTER! https://groups.engr.oregonstate.edu/asce/join

Then, you will start receiving emails through the ASCE listserve and you will become a member of the ASCE Canvas group. You will get all ASCE information that way. Once you start coming to canoe meetings, you'll start to hear even more about the specifics of the team. You will meet the other canoe team members, learn about the design process and about all the other canoe activities going on!

For more information, please contact the team captain or the OSU ASCE Executive Chair (see the above Officer List tab for contact information).
