The Utility Engineering and Surveying Institute (UESI) team addresses a topographic mapping project with a presentation and four field tasks. Members gain experience with standard field and office equipment/procedures, teamwork, and project management skills. 

ASCE Student Symposiums were reintroduced in an in-person format starting in April 2022. OSU ASCE participates in the Pacific Northwest Student Symposium (PNWSS) along with 18  universities from Alaska, British Columbia, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, and Washington. Our UESI team has placed 1st overall in 2023, 2025, and 2026, qualifying for the National Competition all three years.
